- Administrative history / biographyBuilt in 1899 in the hamlet of Spendiff, on land given to the trust by William Batchelor. The building contract was awarded to George Gates of Frindsbury and the architect was J. Nash. Initially known as the "Chapel in the Orchard", it was used as a day school before the primary school in Cooling was built. In the 1990s the chapel was converted into a domestic property.
