  • Scope and content
Records of Court Lodge Farm, Cuxton, and Ifield Court Farm, Gravesend, between 1893 and 1929. For much of the time the farms were run by a partnership, Moore and Miskin (M&M), comprising Joseph Moore (JM) and Stuart Miskin. Gerald Miskin joined the partnership in 1921. Stuart Miskin died in 1922. Joseph Moore was the father of Stuart Miskin’s wife Ethel, who subsequently remarried to Gerald Miskin. The partnership was dissolved c.1923 and Gerald Miskin took control of the business; he died in 1962, and his successor (a cousin) has also died. Court Lodge Farm was owned by the Earl of Darnley until 1926, then by AS Knight. Ifield Court Farm was owned by the Raphael Family. There are some references to other local land (e.g. Wickham Farm Strood, Lodge Farm Cobham, Cuxton Glebe) which was at times worked with the main farms.
